This is the first time I am writing about a figure I have made.I usually let the pictures do the talking .It takes me so long to type,I think this might just take longer than it did to make the figurine!! This wee dreamer is the fourth elf I have made with a polymer clay face .Im still coming to grips with the material, and constantly want to blend it with spit (as I do with epoxy). For the first time I attempted hands in polymer clay as well..not as easy as it looks.. I usually make the elves hats out of epoxy to match the shoes to the hat…but decided to go completely mad and made a felt one instead and stuck a twig in it for a foresty feel.
I haven’t made anything for such a long time..School holidays are just a tad too long.It felt so good to just have some time to create.I can be so impatient with the creative process,and wanted it finished before has even begun.However this time, I took a bit of extra care and even made some braces with some teeny buttons.Overall Im really pleased with the chap.Now he just needs to find a loving home to go to ….
